images (6)After quite a few delays, the Fashion Pakistan Week SS 13 is scheduled to take place on 9th and 10th of April 2013 (thats in a week’s time from now). The originally scheduled three day event has been squeezed further into two day event with around thirteen designers showing every day. Apart from it being streamed LIVE, rumor has it, its gonna be in High Definition (we will see it to believe it). Though I expected much more hype and excitement around the event, however that does not seem to be the case. For the two day event, the designers that are lined up are:

*Updated Schedule
DAY ONE: House of Maheen Khan, DnF ,  Zari Faisal, Orient, Amir Baig, Mona Imran, Ayesha Hassan. After Break there will be presentations by Ahsan Nazir, Emraan Rajput, Aamna Aqeel, Rizwanullah, Faiza Saqlain and rounding off day one will be Bani D.

DAY TWO: Shamaeel will kick start second day followed by Arsalaan Yahseer, Ayesha Ibrahim, Nauman Afreen, Kesariya,  Obaid Sheikh, Ishtiaq Afzal, and Sani Maskatiya. After break Sana Safinaz, GulAhmed, Hajra Hayat, Jafferjees, Hasina, Nauman Arfeen and Deepak will be making their presentations

The lineup comprises mostly of debutantes along with few industry veterans and bigwigs, considering most of them have shifted towards PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. Although FPW is the least popular of the two, it has with-held its steam ever since its comeback. Providing platform to newcomers to showcase their talent is a great initiative and hopefully they will put their best foot forward *fingers crossed*.

Furthermore the fashion pakistan council will be conferring three awards:
Emerging Talent Award: To celebrate the new upcoming talent
The Diamond Designer: To celebrate the lifetime achievements of a Pakistani Fashion Designer and their contributions to the industry
The best collection: The best collection presented, this would be decided via voting on facebook

Heres to hoping for a good presentation. Let the shows begin!

P.S. Labels has taken e-shopping up a notch yet again. Labels e store has announced that its online customers would be able to purchase their favourite looks of the runway the moment they are showcased. Now that would be interesting to see!
