Textile giant Gul Ahmed’s presentation was predominantly a Lawn showing. With exaggerated silhouettes and not so flattering prints, Gul Ahmed’s showing started off with a video before the show itself.

While showcasing the lawn, the makers needed to realize the show belonged more in a textile fair. The OTT silhouette, styling and indulgence in too much fabric, made the whole show look pretty dated. While on the other hand the prints were nothing home to boast about. One ensemble which might have been made comprising quite a bit of fabric actually was reminiscent of a dastarkhan.

The showing of G pret or G women would have much more sense, since they have introduced their r-t-w lines in the market. In terms of Lawn they really need to pull up their socks, since the prints seemed pretty run-of-the-mill (pun deliberately intended) An oppurtunity missed!
