Launched with much fanfare, Sana Safinaz launched their store on a warm Tuesday evening. While the store was not open for sale and would so on 27th April, the awaited launch was not less than a studded affair of sorts. Kudos to Freiha’s team for keeping it all under control. Possibly the most attended event, organized by Catalyst PR, I have never seen that number of people, excited about a store opening, and rightly so. But considering the sway Sana Safinaz hold, one should not be surprised by number of attendants. These lawn queens are all set to conquer the retail world, and from the looks of it, they already have.
Tucked away in a corner, which is gonna be THE CORNER, was the Sana Safinaz store. Black and white in its theme (a clever move to let clothes shine) , with plush interiors, the store exuded luxury from the word go. With small quirks of vintage and arts through suitcases, vintage photographs, vases, the store was a perfect reflection of Sana Safinaz’s personal style of high end luxury. With such competitive prices, the other high street brands are going to have nightmares (yes including Khaadi) since these are hard to compete and are a steal for the quality given. The products ranged from chikan kari tunics to silk tops, dresses and jumpsuits. Also on the product range were bags, clutches, wallets to footwear. The challenge however with Sana Safinaz will be to ensure an endless supply of production since with such prices, I doubt the products are going to remain in store for long.
The store will be open for public from 27th April 2013.
