Nokia Lumia Sponsored, the collection ‘Plus Nokia’ was the last show of act 1 of Day 3. The collection inspired by the colors of the range of nokia lumia phones launched in Pakistan. While the first black piece and a few earlier pieces were good, it was pretty much downhill from then on.
While using cottons, he printed them with a range of geometric prints in fluorescent colors. Combining different prints together on the canvas, the garments, as usual became his playground along with some fun silhouettes that he presented. Dresses, tunics, cropped tops, peplums, asymmetric hemlines..he worked those shapes, playing with print on print like lego. Furthermore I just LOVED those tailored chevrons skinnies. Not that I am a sucker for chevron print (which I totally am), Those pants were impeccably stitched to perfection.
The usual edgy Mohsin showed immense potential and the collection could have been simple and impeccable had it not been for the gold embroideries that he chose to incorporate over the neon printed ensembles. The appalling bling flowers esp the extra big ones combined with the neons left pretty much a bitter taste after the presentation was over rather than making an impressive statement. Final nail in the coffin came in the shape of a fully embroidered gold top.
While the only garment that I liked was the black number with hint of gold, those skinnies were bang on HOT.
