Quite a Breeze!

Posted on Updated on

Using technology for human life refinement seems like a never ending story. Every day one seems to hear about a certain technological advancement for the betterment of life. At one such event, Standard Chartered launched their Breeze application which enabled the users to install the app. on their phones to gain access to their bank accounts . The bank launched its Mobile app for easy banking on Thursday 30th of May 2013.

Breeze is a global mobile banking app for Standard Chartered customers and Pakistan is the seventh country to have it. The app can be downloaded on iPhone, Blackberry, Android phones and Symbian phones. It is aimed at providing online banking on the go. By logging onto the app., one can check their account details, pay bills, and transfer money online.

The event that was hosted by Nadia Husain, had Usman Riaz performing at the event (as good as ever) . Furthermore Naeem Haque’s dance troupe’s impressive performance (considering it consisted of local talent), left everyone enthralled as it explained the functions of the mobile app. through the performance. However they did not realize it that the musical piece they were dancing the first few minutes on was by Usman Riaz himself, who was present at the event..hehe. The event ended with Sailing boats customized with SCB branding lighting up the marshes at the back of Carlton Hotel, Karachi and a simple spread of delicacies.

Not a Standard Chartered customer myself, I am sure though it will be a relief for all the people on the go wanting their banking literally on their fingertips.
