When one of the days, in the middle of the fashion week, you decide to go desi but not totally, I came up with this look. One of the best parts of being a designer is sometimes (read quite a bit) you do get to do and design stuff for yourself. Being fond of textiles from back home, this one in particular is a mud resist hand block printed Ajrakh. I designed a bandhgala (closed collar) vet from it and layered it over a button down plain black shirt. To offset that bit of structure, the dhoti pants were a perfect play to compliment and contrast the whole look. With a metallic mouldable cuff, I gave a break between shoes and the dhoti, both of which were black and went for these blueish reflective shades to play against the earthi-ness of the madder toned ajrakh.
