For starters, I just fail to understand what will it take for designers to understand that winter festive does not necessarily means clothes for wedding or a bridals to be sent down the runway (you have a bridal fashion week for that). Yes, it is the upcoming ‘wedding season’ and people attending will want clothes but atleast give some worthwhile options… Festive does not have to mean you do the same old work in floral filgree over and over again – There quite a few that missed the ball altogether, others presenting rather meh collections and few managing to hit the right balance between wedding attendees and festive look. Inspired by Greatness

I found myself inspired by you all to start my own fashion blog. No, it hasn’t happened, but a gal can dream. IFB bloggers had smart advice on the business of blogging this week by sharing tips on collaboration, their own favorite bloggers, and translating high fashion for the real world and budget. I also loved how some of you took me out of my world and shared beautiful traditions and regional fashion. And for those of you wondering which current designer matches your zodiac sign, follow along with Amethyst Honey. That was a new one.

11. Links à la Mode Feature: Summertime

As I read through the submissions for this week, I couldn’t get the music of George Gershwin’s Summertime from Porgy and Bess out of my head. With each post of Summer Fashion, the lyrics would start over, “Summertime, And the livin’ is easy…” So, IFB Bloggers, I suggest back ground music this week as you click through these inspiring links. {My favorite Summertime rendition is performed by Billie Holiday}
