I’M WEARNG: Button Up Shirt (yd.) / Vest ( Face IT) / Pants (Yellow) / Belt (Levis) / Boots (asos) / Ring(flea market)
For some with wild or longer hair as mine, going formal in an attire becomes a sort of a nightmarish task. We tend to look like a cross between count dracula and mad men rolled into one. However one needs to accept the hair as they are without trying too hard to tame them down (yes it takes a lot of time to make peace with wild hair with a mind of their own). Doing so provides what you wear with a perfect contrast to clean lines making you not go a bit too overboard. It is dapper in its own way. Pairing a darker tone of a blue with a tiny paisley print with a vest works within this look. A tiny print over a formal color like blue makes for a perfect alternative than the usual corporate stripes and checks and this shirt from yd. fitted the bill. Vest is a sort of must-have for those living in hot climates and want to avoid going the suit-route. Vest adds a formal dimension and elevates the look. I usually prefer my sleeves rolled up, but go ahead and button them all the way down (maybe I should try that!! food for thought). Blue and brown always works… its like one of those classic combinations and chinos are a perfect alternative to dress pants. Rounding off the look with classic black boots from ASOS and you are pretty much ready to roll. A ring or a watch ( i still have to find the perfect watch to suit me) finishes this look just right. You don’t need to break new grounds for a well styled look.

I’M WEARING: Button-up shirt (yd.) / Jeans (levis) / Socks (next) / Desert Boots (1st step) / Cuff (asos) /
rings (Flea market finds)
People like me usually tend to avoid pants like white denim for one sole reason…we are hyperactive enthusiasts so what and where might happen to them is a series of unending questions. White denims, as much as people might fear, are not that tricky to pull off. I paired it up with a blue button down (some colors just work) from yd. The arrow motif shirt coordinated perfectly with the pants. The cotton shirt was more than perfect for a bright sunny day. Adding in that pop of color were the red socks that added a bit of a surprise element to the whole outfit. It is always fun to draw attention to subtle details when you have a color based outfit going about and the socks just provide that. I rounded off the look with with navy desert boots. With a look like this the accessories needed to be restrained and thus a couple of rings and a black cuff from ASOS is just enough to perfectly finish things off.
