Fashion in Television – 2017

Of the tv series I watched and caught up to during 2017, while complex women, even in sitcoms, imbued their characters by looking a certain way and these ones certainly made their mark by being there or lack of i.e. meshing so well with the character that they were hardly noticeable. From seventies to millenials – high end to corporate – this year had quite the variety that seemed to have a common thread of power, strength and vulnerability running through it  especially these ones made the maximum impact for me

Fashion Pakistan Week – Winter Festive ’16

For starters, I just fail to understand what will it take for designers to understand that winter festive does not necessarily means clothes for wedding or a bridals to be sent down the runway (you have a bridal fashion week for that). Yes, it is the upcoming ‘wedding season’ and people attending will want clothes but atleast give some worthwhile options… Festive does not have to mean you do the same old work in floral filgree over and over again – There quite a few that missed the ball altogether, others presenting rather meh collections and few managing to hit the right balance between wedding attendees and festive look. Fashion Pakistan Week – Winter Festive 2015 Day 1

Kicking things off on Day 1, Fashion Pakistan Week begun with the usual fervor with designers, Shehla Chatoor, Sania Maskatiya, Gulabo, Ayesha Hashwani, Tena Durrani, Hisham Malik and Sana Safinaz  showcasing their luxury and high end collections.
