I love a good How-To.  Usually I’m searching the world wide web for instruction on dry brushing, making eco friendly cleaning supplies, or cutting a pomegranate.  Have you seen that one?!

So, I was captivated by all the fashion How To’s this week.  IFB bloggers showed how to style scarves, striped pants, chokers, metallics, and flash tattoos,  just to name a few.  Through all of that, summer continued to be a strong theme with music playlists, vacation travel logs, and reviews of concert wear and museum sneakers.

Posted on Updated on

all five

Striped pants are fun. With LCM and Pitti Umo, where many designers presented printed menswear, printed pants still elude many of the usual everyday guy who still likes to stick to his basics. It is not everyday that you get see men sporting something as graphic as black and white striped pants. Recently when JOSHUA MILTON, a friend of mine and a blogger, recently sported striped pants, I instantly hit off on the idea of doing multiple ways to style this graphic wonder. While I love the monochrome look of pairing these with black, there are still a number of ways that these pair of elusive pants can be styled…

Inspired by Greatness

I found myself inspired by you all to start my own fashion blog. No, it hasn’t happened, but a gal can dream. IFB bloggers had smart advice on the business of blogging this week by sharing tips on collaboration, their own favorite bloggers, and translating high fashion for the real world and budget. I also loved how some of you took me out of my world and shared beautiful traditions and regional fashion. And for those of you wondering which current designer matches your zodiac sign, follow along with Amethyst Honey. That was a new one.

Bloggers Eid Spreeeee!!!!

Posted on Updated on

With Eid just around the corner, us 4 friends, Maliha Rao, Umair Mirza, Rabeeyah and myself (all of us who also happen to be bloggers) decided to check out what is up and out there this Eid. Our first stop was Ocean Mall where we first splashed :P. Splash had a good range, a bit steeply priced, but good nevertheless menswear with some interesting textural and easy jackets and printed cotton shirts. They also had a quite a bit of variety of knitted ties. There was a lace shirt in women’s section that I liked and was this close to getting it… remember Burberry 😛 I also liked these round pair of sunnies that were cute and fun priced for 1250 PKR only.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Day 4

Mad Love   -Romance was Born
Once in a while in a fashion week comes a collection that throws all commercial constraints out the window in their runway presentation, yet their business acumen is so sharp that they know how everything will trickle down in stores with much more wearable option. If you don’t catch attention on the ramp, then where!! Romance was born was that show. I have to admit , that with the brand I had a sort of love-hate relationship one that thrives on design n elements n conversations between the two. 23Held at Art Gallery of NSW the show was one of those fantasy ones where it is done just right with a big dollop of the brand’s crazy-ness. Fun prints, bright colors and even impressive turns of Read the rest of this entry »
