I’M WEARING: Jacket (Cambridge) / How to be a Gentleman Tee (9 lines) / Denim(Levis) / Socks(NEXT) / Boots(Stoneage) / metallic bow(TOPMAN) / rings(flea market)

Basically doing pretty much opposite of what the tee says.. lol.. wanted to try out a denim on denim look again but with a slight bit twist therefore went with this layered look. The jacket is nice for summers so nothing really to worry about much and adds a perfect layer for winters. I just buttoned the top button, letting the tee show through the rest of the opening of the jacket. I love the cheeky tee giving all pointers on how to be a gentleman. Adding in the metallic bow to add in that extra detail is always the sign of being one ;)..hehe and even if you are not one you do need to pay attention to detail. There in comes in the two different colored socks. I wore my basic skinny jeans for this since they were the perfect length to show off the two socks (from two different pairs of course) complimenting each other perfectly. The slight pop of green and red adds in the perfect needed color accent to the whole look which is rounded off with brown suede boots from stoneage and rings from flea markets.

Casual Outing

I was pretty much skeptical to see a brand like Levis in the list of designers showcasing at the Fashion Pakistan Week. Levis showcased their Commuter™, COOLMAX® and ICONS Collection product lines. As briefed “The Commuter line is  designed to take the urban worker from their a.m. ride, through the workday and into evening; COOLMAX as the name suggests is their weather friendly line and the ICONS collection will reintroduce the Levis classics in a contemporary way.”

Sticking to basics, Levis showcased their denim lines of men and women’s of three of their products. The cool urban vibe was pretty much evident from the collection. The t.shirts, casual dresses and DENIM made up for a pretty much easy on the eye presentation on the runway which was at times accompanied with simple props as skateboard and bicycle. What however caught my eye were the cavas bags, esp the one in burnt orange and the shoes… I don’t know if these would be available (LEVIS are you listening???) but I liked the lace ups but I absolutely loved the patterned TOMS. They have so gone on my THINGS-TO-BUY list.

There was this denim peplum dress that sashayed down the runway which had no place in the whole collection let alone as a part of one of the three lines. Also some of the models were required to make the walk again sans the props which was really strange (maybe there were backstage problems)

Adnan Malik was the celebrity showstopper for the show.

I’M WEARING: Polo Tee (Octo) / Denim (Levis) / Loafers (Outfitters)

A pretty basic look for hop-skipping events .. back to back. I had ordered this full sleeved polo (the first time I saw one) and was in my closet for a while. The tail back polo was interesting to sport since Polo are a big NO NO for me. However this tee was full sleeved and the tailback gave me sort of a leaner than usual look so was glad. Octo is an online store and have ordered a couple of times from there… interesting stuff. Paired the black and grey tee with a dark teal pair of levis denim for a finished winter look. However added that pop of color via green loafers that had been in the hibernate mode for quite a while now, just to add that fun and non serious vibe. Still missing winters in Karachi, but looks like the nip in the air might get a bit chilly for me to bring out some outerwear for a spin
